Another song on my mind and maybe it's because of the Presidential race: "Tomorrow's not a promise and who will carry on? I love that song too..."Beautiful lovers, everywhere, everywhere.." But my mind is still on "Everybody loves a winner, only a winner can really make things happen, everybody loves a winner, so be a winner, I know you are.." We had our first track meet today and there were three other teams there (boys and girls 6th - 8th grades). It went really well. Our boys took 1st and 3rd in the long jump. One of our girls took 2nd place in the long jump. One of our boys took 1st place in the 400m and one of our girls also took 1st place in the 400m. Another of our girls took 1st place in the 1600m. Students also improved in their times so it was really good. I was so proud of the whole team, but now they see that they need to show up for practice and really practice instead of trying to chat. I've already taken a few turns on here, but here I go... lol! Nobody can tear that song up like Ms. Natalie Cole!! I'd love for her to record it sung live all over again! That would be awesome....another live experience with a collection of her hits to date!
