She sounds absolutely wonderful when she sings the big band swing type of music. I love listening to her sing Ella Fitzgerald and the likes. I had the pleasure of listening to Natalie Cole when she gave a concert to military personnel on Yokosuka Naval Base (in Japan) in the mid-1970's. She is a truly gifted singer. A rare talent. Hope to see her around for years to come.
I would love to see DUETS of the past come to LIFE! Now that would be a treat! With Ray,Ella, Frankie, Tony Bennett, Reba, Freddie...etc......Ray Parker...remember OVER YOU!!!!
I would like to know if she has any other old Chuck Jackson and Marvin Yancy tunes hidden away, like The More You Do It! While I like all of her songs, I am so hooked on her old school and her roots! When I purchased Leavin, the first thing I did was read the cover and such. When I saw their names, it was the first song I listened to! Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you that Natalie is my favorite. I will listen to music all night long, usually 3-5 hours just chillin with my head phones and a glass of wine. You can bet I will have listened to about 20 of Natalies during the mix.
Music is something the entire world can share. I am glad that Natalie is a part of my world. Throughout my ups and downs, girlfriend has been there and sung a song about my life at one point or another:-)
